Broadway Center for the Performing Arts

The Broadway Center is recognized for its leadership in presenting world-class performing artists. BCPA provides one of the largest performing arts education programs in the state of Washington and assists in the preservation in Tacoma's historic theaters. In fact, BCPA manages the largest complex of theaters between Seattle and Portland with the Pantages Theater (built in 1918 with 1169 seats), the Rialto Theater (build in 1918 with 742 seats) and the Theatre on the Square (built in 1993 with seating for 302).

A vital hub of arts in Tacoma, the Broadway Center is home to eight of Tacoma's resident arts organizations including the Tacoma Opera, Northwest Sinfonietta, Tacoma Symphony Orchestra, and the Tacoma City Ballet, amongst others. Not only that, BCPA brings in nationally-recognized artists such as the Preservation Hall Jazz Band, The Monkees, David Sedaris and Nancy Griffith.
